History
Government Degree College, Bhikiyasain (Almora) was established on 2 August 2006, as a result of the long cherished desire of local public and public representatives for its opening. Initially, the college was started and conducted in the premises of Government Inter College, Bhikiyasain and was continued to be there till January 2018. It was only due to the sincere efforts of Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, Principal and her team, the college was shifted to its own building on 1st February 2018. The College is situated on Basot Road, Bhikiyasain (Almora).

उच्च शिक्षा विभाग उत्तराखण्ड में अध्ययनरत सभी पुरातन छात्रों को (स्नातक, स्नातकोत्तर एवं शोध छात्रों को) समर्थ एलुमनी पोर्टल पर आनबॉर्डेड किया जाना है।उक्त के संदर्भ में, विश्वविद्यालय/उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में अध्ययनरत पुरातन सभी छात्रों का डेटा एक्सेल के माध्यम से या ऑनलाइन रजिस्ट्रेशन के माध्यम से समर्थ एलुमनी पोर्टल पर रजिस्टर किया जाएगा। इसका उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि सभी छात्र, जिन्होंने उच्च शिक्षा उत्तराखण्ड में अपना अध्ययन पूर्ण कर लिया है, वे संस्थान के एलुमनी नेटवर्क का हिस्सा बन सकें। जिससे सभी छात्र एक दूसरे से जुड़े रह सकेंगे और अपने अनुभवों का आदान-प्रदान कर सकेंगे
