Department of Sociology

About the Department:
The Department of Sociology was started in year 2008, as an integral part of the college. The
Department offers sociology as a subject at undergraduate level. Presently department has one
permanent, full time faculty.
Mission Of Department:
1) To develop scientific temperament among the learners with respect to their understanding and
learning of sociological phenomenon.
2) To develop an approach of problem solving and applied research/sociology among the students
regarding various social problems.
3) To develop an understanding of various social issues and their interrelation with other
disciplines so as to get a holistic idea and knowledge about any social issues.
4) To develop awareness and understanding about present day social issues and how these issues
are relevant to society and mankind.
